What Success Looks Like In This Job
To serve the public by providing accurate information regarding civil and criminal laws.
Examples of Duties for Success
• Adhere to policy, procedures, and post orders.
• Duties include but not limited to, answer calls; complete appropriate and required paperwork and ILEADS Reports; testify in court; resolve conflict; complete required training; communicate clearly with citizens and other law enforcement professionals; dispense information to those who need it.
• Prepare variety of TriTech reports.
• Acquire information and record information from citizen’s reference criminal activity.
• Communicate by using the computer, telephone, two-way radio and intercom system.
• Assist in monitoring the security at the front lobby and call of assistance when/if needed.
• Provide Fingerprinting for citizens and applicants.
• Receive money for traffic fines, blood and breath tests and fingerprinting fees.
• Report to the Traffic Sergeant.
• Provide walk-ins with assistance and direct them to appropriate location or deputies.
• Assist in the entry of information and traffic tickets into the computer system via I-LEADS.
• Report information to records section for CCIC/NCIC entry.
• Participate in training.
• Staff front desk
• Take cold reports
• Ability to write reports in agency systems, ILEADS, and TriTech
• Conduct tours for school groups or boy scouts.
• Notify Duty Sergeant of Emergency situations.
• Perform other duties that are assigned.
Qualifications for Success
Qualifications:
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Ability to be assertive and self-motivated
• Must have correctable vision to 20/40
Education & Experience:
• Must have High School Diploma or GED
• One-year Public Sector Customer Service experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs
• Working knowledge of Colorado Revised Statutes (CRS)
• Proficiency in ILEADS preferred
