Transparency represents an incredible opportunity to raise retail industry standards around authenticity, product transparency, and supply chain tracing. Transparency is a strategic new software-as-a-service launched by Amazon for the global consumer goods industry. We are focused on building a global service which allows consumer brands and consumers to trace the origin of items throughout the supply chain ensuring only authentic items enter the supply chain. The Transparency service is focused on preventing the receipt and sale of counterfeit goods both online and offline. Our customers include individual consumer brands who sell both on and off of Amazon direct and through a network of direct and third-party sellers.

Role:

The Partner Development Manager will be responsible for engaging with brand related service providers (e.g. brand building service providers, IP service providers etc.) to enable brand success. This is a business development role supporting sales and account management by engaging service providers (SP) and other 3rd party. The position holder will also be responsible for identifying new SPs across the country while managing existing SPs. This is a "hands on" role where you will dive deep into current brands on-boarding and relevant supply chain processes, identify best-practices and new opportunities for leads referral from SPs, write SOP's and communicate them to Product Managers in the US to streamline existing business processes amongst and between Amazon, brands, their suppliers and SPs. You will have a great deal of influence on streamlining operational processes by documenting learning, best practices and features enabling self-service though API. As a "voice of the customer" you will provide important operational learning and insights to help our brands scale their Transparency adoption. You will also lead the effort to identify and develop new SPs that can support the Transparency and Brand Protection program growth in China. This role will have a high-degree of ambiguity with priorities and objectives being shaped by learnings and contribution.

The main responsibilities of the role are listed below. The list is not exhaustive and may change over time.

  1. Managing existing brand related service providers and enrolling new service providers by building and managing 3rd-party programs

  2. Identify and develop new service provider type for Transparency and Brand Protection programs

  3. Develop and optimize operational process for service providers onboarding and management

  4. Contribute to Transparency and Brand Protection product development

  5. Support other Transparency and Brand Protection program pilot and launch

  6. Support brand related efforts in SPN program

As a strategic contributor to the China Brand Protection team you will have the opportunity to dramatically accelerate adoption of Transparency and Brand Protection programs by improving operational practices, inventing and simplifying job functions, developing new business opportunities and training your peers on best practices for efficiency.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of business development experience, more than 2 years' experience in partner/channel/eco-system development

  • Proven track record of delivering business goals

  • Demonstrated experience working with multiple internal and external stakeholders

  • Customer obsession, professional, ambitious, highly organized and results driven

  • Problem-solving capability and service orientation

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in Mandarin and English

  • Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA degree or Master's in a related field

  • Experience working with brands, manufacturing operations or supply chain ecosystem

  • Experience navigating complex processes/environment

  • Strong business judgment, proven ability to influence others

  • Experience in working directly with product or engineering team on business requirement development

  • Startup experience preferred
