Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, data modeling, and database design, along with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their data needs, designing robust data solutions, and ensuring the efficient operation of data systems.

Key Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze their data requirements and business objectives.

· Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient data architectures that support business needs.

· Develop and maintain data models, database schemas, and data integration workflows.

· Ensure data quality, data governance, and alignment to regulatory standards.

· Provide technical leadership and guidance to data engineering teams.

· Balance models that optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing performance vs solution implementation constraints

· Stay updated with the latest advancements in data architecture and related technologies.

· Conduct data architecture reviews and audits to ensure best practices are followed.

· Prepare and present technical documentation, reports, and proposals to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a consulting role as a technical specialist, architect, or developer

  • Proven experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, or similar role

  • In-depth knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL)

  • Experience with data modeling tools and techniques

  • Strong understanding of data governance and data quality management

  • Proficiency in data integration and ETL processes

  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • The ability to train and participate in the professional development of Huron technical staff

  • The ability to contribute on multiple projects of differing scale and duration

  • Huron requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to this position or equivalent work experience

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in an Enterprise Architecture capacity, particularly in modeling business process and supporting data models

  • Knowledge of data security and privacy best practices

  • Certification in data architecture or related fields

  • Experience in developing data strategies and roadmaps

  • Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts.
