The position

By joining our team in Exploration & Production Norway you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide advice and support on the operability, reliability, and maintainability of suspended and operating wells in Mariner and Equinor operated UK assets. Including close alignment to the Operations and Maintenance department to provide discipline input to maximise safety, improve value and drive low carbon solutions.

  • Act as discipline subject matter expert and author of Performance Standard 17A for Well Integrity of Operating Wells. Participate in, and support, Management of Change, Dispensations and Operational Risk Assessments relating to deviations and barrier impairments for operating wells.

  • Work cohesively and collaboratively with Subsurface, Drilling & Wells, Operations & Maintenance to incorporate best practice design and practices to meet UK and Equinor requirements.

  • Participate in well handover to and from Drilling and Operations to ensure correct barrier status and documentation.

  • Responsible for Technical Integrity approval of newly installed and commissioned well equipment to allow first use.

  • Participate in the revision of Standards and Operating procedures.

  • Bachelors or Master's degree qualified candidates with relevant engineering experience in Drilling, Completions, and Well Operational background.

  • Extensive experience in offshore oil & gas industry with comprehensive knowledge of relevant working practices and UKCS Regulations etc.

  • Planning and scheduling as well as document writing skills are required for this position therefor effective use of word, excel, PowerPoint and a good working knowledge of maintenance and integrity management systems are required.

  • Ability to understand technical drawings of downhole well design, and surface P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagram) and C&E (Cause & Effect) diagrams of well flowlines and manifolds.

  • Embrace responsibility towards MAH (Major Accident Hazard) barrier assurance in an offshore operations environment.

  • Ability to communicate effectively as an individual and as part of a multi-functional / multi-cultural and multi-skilled team. Candidate must be self-motivated and can work with minimal guidance, the candidate shall also be pro-active in providing the relevant and appropriate input to project discussions.

  • Some travel will be required for this position therefore flexibility is highly desired.
