MAG FSC2 Subject Matter Expert in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland

Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is seeking an experienced Fires Support Command and Control (FSC2) Subject Matter Expert to assist the Assistant Product Manager Targeting Integrated Command and Coordination System (JTICS2S) with technical support on JADOCS application and design.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing team with multiple opportunities for upward advancement supporting JTICS2S. The JTICS2S program delivers critical fires/targeting capability for joint and organic Army fire support management and a joint fires/targeting common operational picture for joint and coalition partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Assist APM Joint Targeting Integrated Command and Coordination System (JTIC2S) (JTIC2S is next Gen of JADOCS)) with the JTIC2S software architecture and operational aspects of the system.

  • Participate in all JADOCS technical reviews and various integrated products teams with the contractor as a JADOCS Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Targeting SME.

  • Participate in technical exchange meetings with external stakeholders (i.e., Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps) relative to technical inquiries on JADOCS application and design.

  • Act as SME on Targeting and have a very good knowledge and understanding of conducting targeting and risk mitigation in coordinated and collaborative digital environment for both deliberated and dynamic targeting.

  • Participate in technical exchange meetings with external government agencies and provide operation view of how the system work respect to Targeting.

  • Review test results and provide recommended software changes as required to ensure Targeting capabilities and system performance are in line with the system requirements.

  • Assist in setting up local laboratory test/experimentation environments with demonstration databases for JADOCS, AFATDS and emerging S&T targeting systems.

  • Provide feedback on developmental software from operational viewpoint.

Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

  • General technical knowledge of MC systems including CPCE, DDS, C2I, Enterprise Services, Chat, AFATDS, P-FED, JADOCS, CPOF, JBC-P and other Command and Control systems such As TAIS, AMDWS, GCCS-A.

  • Must have strong understanding of AFATDS and JADOCS and be able to setup and operate both systems.

  • Have knowledge of Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF).

  • Have very good technical understanding of JADOCS interfaces with the external systems and data required for targeting.

  • Understanding of ESXi Virtual Environments to include snapshots and V-Motion a plus.

  • Must be able to operate independently with little or no supervision.

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • BS Computer Science or similar discipline (Exp can be in lieu of degree for strong candidates)

  • Prior experience as 131A (strongly desired) with 10 to 15 years targeting experience (5-7 years at Div or Corps level echelon)

Desired:

  • Prior experience as 131A (strongly desired) with 10 to 15 years targeting experience (5-7 years at Div or Corps level echelon)

  • TS/SCI
