About the Position: The incumbent serves as a senior Human Resources Specialist within the Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), G1 Human Resources Department. Responsibilities Performs studies relating to such factors as turnover, identify workforce dynamics, trends, and anticipated changes that may impact the workforce to develop short and long-range workforce requirements and plans. Analyzes and interprets guidance on training policies and procedures from higher headquarters and initiates appropriate action. Serves as the Organizational Acquisition Point of Contact (OAP) for the ACC-APG Army Workforce. Ensures compliance with acquisition education, experience, and training requirements for certification and/or Army Acquisition Corps (AAC) membership. Writes and publishes training directives, regulations, policy letters, annual training guidance, and internal operating procedures. Recommends and initiates workforce development programs and projects in support of the mission. Providing authoritative guidance and assistance to employees and supervisors regarding Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) and other departments. Provides advice and assistance to the Acquisition Workforce members on achieving the required Continuing Learning Points (CLPs) annually. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11).
