Job Title:Systems Engineer (STRMM)
Location:Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD
Job Responsibilities:
The Systems Engineer (STRMM) will design and develop specifications of equipment, RF, IF, antenna, modems, and network architecture/protocols based on customer requirements for the communication system. Design duties will include electrical subsystems, HVAC subsystems, RF and IF subsystems, IP network and Fiber Optic subsystems. The position will require the ability to write and implement test plans on communications systems. Other duties include:
Collaborate with the Senior Engineers to create more efficient methods.
Develop the specifications for all equipment that is required for each project.
Knowledge of installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the RF/satellite, IP network, and fiber distribution systems.
Functions that include designing, installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and diagnosing of network infrastructure and its application components.
Investigate technical and interoperability issues, formulate solutions, and make recommendations.
Create the framework used to develop and monitor project metrics and manage the collection of project data.
Formulate realistic parameters for each project, including design elements and implementation procedures.
Establish the methods by which all field tests are administered and develop various ways to monitor the quality of those tests.
Minimum Qualifications:
Active, in-scope US Government issuedSecret clearance (Interim Secret Clearance is acceptable)
Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements,US Citizenship is required.
A minimum of four (4) years experience in engineering and system integration.
Certification requirement: SEC+CE, Network+.
Must have a valid U.S. passport.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, OR an Associates degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR eleven (11) total years of recent specialized experience.
