The selected candidate will be responsible for filling the role of Program Financial Analyst I, supporting Vertical Launching Systems (VLS) Canister program efforts in Aberdeen, SD. Involves working closely with the program management and financial teams in developing and analyzing key financial measures, assessing contract profitability and ensuring compliance to accounting principles. Capable of assembling financial data for inclusion in contract reviews, forecasts, and variance explanations. Participates in audits and interfaces with auditors to ensure understanding of financial data and methodologies.

In this position, you will be supporting the Combat Mission Systems (CMS) Business at our Aberdeen facility. This position a hybrid position.

As a Financial Analyst, you will:

  • Support the Program Finance team in every day finance processes

  • Plan baseline budgets and process baseline changes

  • Coordinate and consolidate monthly variance analyses

  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports

  • Coordinate near-term planning activities and forecast estimates at complete

  • Track contract modifications for funding changes, periods of performance, etc.

  • Support invoice preparation and monitor unbillable costs

  • Analyze and revise project forecasts

  • Perform ad hoc analysis and other duties as requested

  • Develop professional skills in Finance, Accounting and Government Compliance in a manufacturing environment in the Defense Industry

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience.

  • Should have the ability to perform entry-level program finance analysis, basic concepts of accounting, and/or financial management

  • Solid computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)

  • Basic problem solving acuity and basic experience with Microsoft Office tools with emphasis on Excel

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills necessary for working with diverse work teams and various functional areas

  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under deadlines

  • Sound professional judgment, business acumen, attention to detail, and ability to plan and organize

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $43920 - $74700

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
