**Director of Sales and Marketing
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. **
- Responsible for active solicitation of the association and trade show markets.
- Act as a liaison with building personnel, CVBs clients, etc. to represent ASM and assure clients needs are meet.
- Represent the facility in all industry-related Trade regional and national tradeshows.
- Prepare bid proposals and follow through on pending bookings.
- Prepare and assure compliance with all rental agreements.
- Handle pre-event correspondence and meetings until the account can be turned over to an Event Coordinator/Manager.
- Prepares Sales Strategy Plans
- Maintain and update facility booking calendar
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required
- Ability to effectively supervise staff
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects
- High aptitude for figures and advanced writing skills
- Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic
- Acts as Executive on Duty as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises Managers, Assistants or Coordinators in the Sales Department. The Director of Sales carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASM's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems
