Bio-Techne Digital Sales, Commercial Support in Abingdon, Minnesota

This position will hold responsibility for driving and maintaining business throughout the UK, Scandinavia and Benelux regions for the full Bio-Techne Portfolio, managed from the European Headquarters in Abingdon, United Kingdom. In this position you will be expected to maintain an extremely high level of customer and market knowledge.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Pro-actively engage current and new customers through a variety of communication routes including phone, email, digital platforms and social media

• Drive strategic regional campaigns for the academic sector in relation to trending hot areas of research and Bio-Techne new product releases

• Identify and utilise a range of innovative techniques to virtually gain product awareness and utilisation with clients including social networks and digital engagement that will support and develop new/existing business opportunities

• Engage actively with Procurement and 3rd party on-line engagement platforms to create strategic and impactful campaigns and agreements that drive increased traffic/sales revenue and benefitting both parties.

• Increase the Bio-Techne publication rate within impacting journals and institutes by increasing the number of academic labs utilising Bio-Techne products.

• Drive scientific campaigns that are relatable to trending topics within specific academic institutes

• Utilise commercial data to drive revenue generating activities

• Represent the company at domestic and international conferences as well as travelling for on-site meeting with key academic laboratories.

• Ensure academic customer base at accounts throughout the UK, Scandinavia and Benelux delivers growth by understanding their current research and how the Bio-Techne portfolio sits within this

• This role will involve a high level of customer interaction including the generation of quotes, opportunity follow-up, cross-sell of additional products and product awareness during customer calls, emails and social engagement

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• BSc in a biological based subject

• An understanding of the Life Science Market

• Fluent in English

• Demonstrable experience of working within a customer care/sales environment with a strong commercial focus

• Experience in digital platforms to enable engage and understanding with customers data and financial analysis is desirable

• Experience of using own initiative and working in a target driven environment

• Ability to track return on investment (ROI) and key performance indicators (KPI’s)

• Possess excellent IT skills; including experience of working with databases, Office Outlook, using Excel and Word are essential
