The Club InterContinental Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Club InterContinental Lounge, ensuring a consistently exceptional guest experience through personalized service, attention to detail, and proactive supervision. This role involves leading a team of Club Attendants, maintaining high service standards, and fostering a welcoming and exclusive atmosphere for Club InterContinental guests.

Your day-to-day:

  1. Guest Experience:

  2. Deliver personalized food & beverage and guest service to a luxury standard.

  3. Enhance guest experiences with tailored amenities and services.

  4. Address guest complaints promptly and effectively.

  5. Facilitate smooth check-in and check-out processes for Club InterContinental guests.

  6. Operations Supervision:

  7. Supervise the setup, service, and closing procedures of the Club Lounge.

  8. Maintain departmental standards and procedures.

  9. Perform front office tasks, including reservations, guest requests, and billing.

  10. Ensure compliance with IHG Brand Standards and drive team performance in Guest Love, Loyalty Recognition, and Problem Handling.

  11. Team Leadership:

  12. Mentor, coach, and provide regular feedback to Club Attendants.

  13. Conduct onboarding, training, and development programs for team members.

  14. Plan staffing needs and manage scheduling and leave requests.

  15. Foster a supportive and inclusive team environment to enhance morale.

  16. Communication and Collaboration:

  17. Communicate guest feedback and relevant information to management.

  18. Promote teamwork and coordinate with other departments to ensure high-quality service.

  19. Participate in meetings and stay updated on hotel and corporate communications.

  20. Administrative Duties:

  21. Manage inventory levels, conduct stocktakes, and minimize waste.

  22. Ensure secure storage of food and beverages.

  23. Prepare rosters and monitor payroll productivity.

  24. Handle credit and financial transactions securely and accurately.

  25. Health and Safety:

  26. Support workplace health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives.

  27. Participate in investigations and recommend corrective actions for workplace incidents.

  28. Facilitate the reporting of workplace hazards and incidents.

  29. Additional Duties:

  30. Handle ad-hoc tasks as needed to support the team and other hotel departments.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a hotel environment, preferably in front desk or food & beverage.

  • Previous experience in leading a team is highly regarded.

  • Compliance with local laws on food handling and serving alcohol, including valid South Australian Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification.

  • Strong communication skills for addressing guest concerns and compliments.

  • Effective problem-solving skills to turn issues into opportunities.

  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are an advantage.

  • Flexibility to work morning, night, weekend, and public holiday shifts.

  • Physical capability to lift, push, and pull objects up to 23 kg.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a luxury hotel setting, with a focus on guest services or club lounge operations.
