Honeywell Engines and Power Systems has an opening within the Systems Project Engineering team. The Systems organization is growing to meet the needs of HON’s new engine development programs and transforming to meet the increasing demands of the industry. In this role, you will work with experienced engineers to execute Requirements Based Engineering (RBE), Systems Processes and Plans, and Engine Systems development for commercial and military gas turbine engines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support requirements development and execution
Support development and execution of system plans such as the System Development Plan and Requirements Management Verification and Validation Plan (RMVVP)
Support engine system architecture development, design, and execution
Expected to support the following within the Systems Project team:
Support the program in execution of RBE for new product development
Support and/or lead Systems Plans execution on new product development programs
Leadership capability with diverse, cross functional team
Escalate effectively with leadership
Strong commitment to customer satisfaction
Bias toward creative thinking and innovation in product design and approach to everyday work
Promote strong team working relationships
Identify gaps and risks on behalf of the team
Support schedules and budgeted time for the assigned work scope
Expected travel not to exceed 10%
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
YOU MUST HAVE:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
2+ years of Systems or Aerospace experience
1+ years of system or component verification and validation
1+ years of experience with requirements-based engineering
Ability to speak, read and write English
WE VALUE:
Knowledge of ARP4754B
Knowledge of Integrated Product Development Systems (IPDS)
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and manage workload
Prior systems engineering experience either through direct industry experience or education/training
Prior gas turbine engine experience
Ability to execute complex projects in an organized and efficient way
Capability to facilitate interpersonal relationships and resolve conflicts tactfully and effectively
Ability to escalate effectively with leadership and cross-functionally across the organization
Focus on results and effective execution of projects
Excellent oral and written communications
Experience using DOORS, CAMEO, SysML, and/or other RBE/MBE programs
Aerospace or Systems Engineering Degree
