Are you ready to go beyond?Job Summary:Pratt & Whitney Compression Systems Engineering (CSE) team is looking for an experienced Project Engineering professional with the ability to work independently. Supports the development of project plans, schedules and budgets, tracks progress, resolves problems, develops solutions, and forecasts project revenue. Qualified candidates need to be able to effectively lead a diverse team of individuals to meet requirements and achieve goals. Candidates need to be technically proficient, communicate effectively, and be customer focused. Coordinates with other functional organizations. Identifies and addresses project problems, analyzes data gathered, and develops solutions and recommendations to solve problems, meet deadlines and optimize performance. Travel for this role is up to 10%.Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenshipKey Responsibilities:Develops project plans, schedules, and budget and support military budget EVMS activities.Tracks progress, identifies and resolves obstacles to minimize disruption to project schedules to ensure smooth project operations.Prepare and present status and technical content to CIPT and upper Pratt & Whitney management and lead Class 1 and Class 2 engineering change executionAnalyzes data gathered and develops solutions or alternative methods of proceeding to optimize performance and increase efficiency of work and Control Account Manager (CAM) responsibilities for Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) work packages that align with assigned work.Work closely with IPT members and authorities on hardware field investigations to drive root cause and recommend product improvements.Maintains and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project(s) to track progress and ensure that established targets are met. Performs risks assessments and develop mitigation plan as needed. Identifies and addresses project problems and recommends resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects and facilitates project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives.English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak EnglishAttend and have participation in group meetings, teleconferences and/or training required and actively participate in initiatives for continuous improvement using CORE Operating System tools and support AS9100 efforts.Based on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company. Support project management activities.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Aerospace Engineering and 5 years of project engineering experience or an Advanced Degree in Engineering or MBA with 3 years of project engineering experience.The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Travel is up to 10%.Preferred Qualifications:3 years Trained CAM & Proficiency with Teamcenter, Agile, MS Project or other scheduling software and SAP a plus5 years of engineering experience in design, manufacture, development, validation, entry into service and support of field service issues.5 years of experience managing budgets and schedules.Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles (e.g., CORE, QCPC, Process Certification).What is my role type?In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work.
