Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Aiea, Hawaii

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a diligent and organized individual to join our team as an Accounting Clerk. Based in Aiea, Hawaii, this role is pivotal in maintaining financial transparency and efficiency in our operations with a focus on accounts payable and receivable. This role is a key component of our accounting team, ensuring the smooth operation of our financial activities in the telecom industry. Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable in compliance with company accounting manual and Executive Management guidelines

• Manage administrative tasks, track, and approve financial transactions, control budgets, and conduct regular financial reporting

• Supervise general accounting tasks including weekly check-ins with the accountant, account chart maintenance, and audit documentation provision

• Handle Accounts Receivable tasks including setting up and maintaining customer and job files, preparing and recording billing invoices, customer communication, collections, and verifying accounts receivable for accuracy and completeness

• Manage Accounts Payable responsibilities including setting up and maintaining vendor files, reviewing and recording invoices as well as expense reimbursements, making direct/indirect cost entries, preparing and making payments, and verifying accounts payable for accuracy and completeness

• Handle banking activities, including monitoring online banking activities, preparing deposit slips, issuing company cards as approved by management, reconciling credit cards, transferring funds, and handling inquiries from the bank

• Utilize web-based systems and Smartsheet for accounting tasks

• Ensure quality control in all accounting tasks, from invoice processing to financial reporting

• Manage vendor relationships and process purchase orders

• Conduct account reconciliation tasks to ensure accurate financial records.

Requirements • Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk with a minimum of 7 years' experience

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Strong capabilities in Billing and Data Entry

• Experience in Invoice Processing is essential

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Smartsheet

• Experience in QC - Quality Control is desirable

• Ability to handle Purchase Orders and Expense Reimbursements efficiently

• Knowledge of Financial Reporting is required

• Demonstrated ability in Vendor Management
