Marcum Technology is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Blockchain Audit Analyst with a strong background in financial audit to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of blockchain technology and its application in business solutions, combined with proven experience in financial audits. This role will involve working closely with both our technical teams and audit departments to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of blockchain-related transactions and financial reporting. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required. A Master's degree or professional certifications (CPA, CISA, etc.) are a plus. 1-2 years of experience in financial audit. A focus on IT audit, cryptocurrency, and blockchain technology is a plus. Proficiency in data analytics tools and the ability to interpret complex data structures to perform audits. Strong, professional level verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technology trends. The ability to travel, especially during busy audit seasons. Key Responsibilities: Perform financial audits on cryptocurrency transactions and blockchain implementations within the organization, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to assess the technical aspects of blockchain implementations, including smart contracts and consensus mechanisms. Develop and implement audit methodologies and procedures specific to digital assets and blockchain technologies. Monitor and evaluate advancements in blockchain technology to identify opportunities and risks relevant to the company's operations and financial practices. Liaise with audit engagement teams, providing expertise and support on blockchain-related queries and examinations.
