Vontier Regional Sales Representative - REMOTE SOUTHWEST in Akron, Ohio

The Regional Sales Representative will consistently identify new sources of business, maintain high productivity and sales standards and achieve sales quotas within an assigned territory. The Regional Sales Representative will be self-motivated and outgoing, and proficient at building relationships. This will support Texas and surrounding states. Candidates are preferred to be in those territories, but not required.

Illustrative duties may include, but are not restricted to, one or more of the following:

  • Closes on DRB sales opportunities by regularly managing all leads and opportunities via the lead management system.

  • Applies knowledge of potential new markets and applications of products; develops and maintain working relationships with potential customers within the industry and current markets.

  • Effectively follow-ups on all leads.

  • Regularly prospects territory and searches for new opportunities within our selected industries.

  • Reports all daily customer activity via Salesforce and effectively maintains the records.

  • Tracks the status of the prospects and customers.

  • Participates in and attends selected state, regional, and national trade shows.

  • Learns and applies basic knowledge of product offerings from DRB.

  • Generates quotes and works with prospective or existing customers to make a sale.

  • Consults with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and provide ongoing support, as needed.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business preferred.

  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of sales experience plus degree or equivalent with a combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Computer Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office. Salesforce experience is a plus.

  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid United States Driver’s license.

  • Other Requirements: Willingness and ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally to attend trade shows and visit with existing and potential clients. Approximately 60% travel, including 2-3 trade shows per year.

  • Ability to self-direct and work remotely.

  • Experience working out of a home office is a plus.

The base compensation range for this position is $50,000 per annum. Your actual base salary will be determined based upon a number of factors which may include relevant experience, skills, location (labor market data), credentials (education, certifications), and internal equity. For this specific role, you may be eligible to participate in the sales/commission plan at a rate of 7% of Commissionable Gross Margin. Overall compensation can be anywhere from $150-300k annually.
