Description

We are seeking a proactive, organized, and compassionate Patient Service Representative to join our local healthcare client. This individual will be chiefly responsible for facilitating interactions between patients and our healthcare professionals, providing exemplary customer service, and supporting administrative processes.

Responsibilities:

· Serve as a primary point of contact, addressing queries and offering information to patients.

· Schedule appointments and confirm appointment details with patients.

· Guide patients through registration and admissions procedures.

· Manage patients’ health records and ensure accuracy and privacy, as per HIPAA regulations.

· Facilitate all patient communications, including telephone calls, emails, and face-to-face interactions.

· Process healthcare services payments and insurance reimbursements.

· Engage with and assist patients or their families, ensuring they have a satisfactory experience.

· Liaise with healthcare professionals to guarantee seamless patient care.

· Participate in training and seminars to continually improve skills and understanding of job requirements.

Requirements

· Prior experience in a patient service role or similar position within a healthcare setting is preferred.

· Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients.

· Proficiency in using medical software and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

· Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminologies is preferred.

· Understanding of healthcare billing nuances and basic health insurance policies.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

· Must be detail-oriented and have high organizational skills.

· Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and according to established regulations.

· A healthcare-related course or additional education in medical administration is a plus.
