Training and General Requirements:
- All titles shall be Journeymen level and have completed an apprenticeship program registered with New York State Department of Labor.
- OSHA 10 Training Course
- OSHA Lead Awareness Training
- Allied Trades Asbestos Safety Training Certification
- Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures
- Ability to read and understand blueprints of industrial plant wide systems (electrical, HVAC systems, and plumbing).
- Ability to use hand tools, instrumentation, and all types of power tools in a safe and efficient manner applicable to the trade.
OGS Provided Training Participation:
- Participate in OGS or vendor provided training
- Follow and understand work planning and procedures
Contractor Required Reporting:
- Record, log, and track OGS provided training for each employee
- Provide a report that details the status of each employees training and expiration dates to OGS on a quarterly basis.
Employees are required to wear daily a company shirt at all times with a company logo while on site and working for OGS in a clean and presentable condition. This will require multiple shirts for each employee. The company shirts (short or long sleeve) must be a high visibility color (yellow or orange) for a professional appearance, collared shirts are not required.
OGS understands there are work tasks when a shirt would not be appropriate attire for the work being performed (safety reasons or otherwise). It is the responsibility of the company to confirm the shirt and material chosen for each person is appropriate for the work being performed and have the company logo visible.
