ATI Laboratory Office Administrator in Albany, Oregon

The Laboratory Administrator position is primarily responsible for supporting the laboratory operations throughout ATI Millersburg’s Analytical laboratory. The person in this role will report to the Analytical Laboratory Leader and work in conjunction with other laboratory leaders to facilitate various laboratory needs. This is a weekend-inclusive position, and will require Saturday and Sunday, with three other days during the week. Responsibilities include:

  • Enter incoming samples into the Laboratory Information Management System

  • Assist lab customers with testing requests

  • Purchase consumables and parts for laboratory testing

  • Drive improvements in documenting laboratory and lab office procedures

  • Use technical skills and background to identify problems and implement effective solutions

  • Report data to laboratory customers.

  • Operate various analytical laboratory equipment, including ICP-OES

  • Perform laboratory specific maintenance tasks

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years laboratory or office experience

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

  • Experience with Oracle (preferred but not required)

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate both technical and non-technical information

  • Ability to work with internal and external customers to provide laboratory testing and collaborate on continuous improvement projects

  • Ability to evaluate and rank priorities and communicate to lab employees

  • Ability to think creatively and strategically

  • Ability to work with cross-functional groups

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles preferred

  • Self-motivated

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree or Equivalent, preferably science-based major

  • Manufacturing and/or Quality experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
