The Associate Director, Training and Development will manage Albuquerque’s Sterile University. Sterile University trains, equips and certifies that new hires are prepared to perform the essential duties of their roles. This position is responsible for the development of learning strategies and initiatives for new hires, evaluating the readiness of employees to move to their assigned positions. The Associate Director will manage a team of training specialists and generalists and coordinate classes to start on a regular cadence, introducing new team members to Curia’s values, purpose and processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Align and integrate training and development plans with organizational goals and strategies
Manage, coach and mentor Sterile University team; teach training methods and skills to the SU team, as well as other members of Curia leadership
Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with objectives and timelines
Equip team to design, develop, deliver and evaluate material for job-specific training and professional development
Lead in high-pressure situations, successfully handle multiple priorities, possess a high level of discipline while remaining flexible
Ensure training programs and materials adhere to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies
Collaborate with Functional Leaders and Subject Matter Experts to develop certification requirements, documenting completion of all mandatory training requirements
Partner with Functional Leaders and Subject Matter Experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance
Build tailored onboarding and continuous learning plans for employees
Conduct regular quality assurance reviews of learning content and programs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and relevance for current business requirements
Drive continuous improvement of training and on-boarding processes; incorporate feedback from stakeholders; make changes and improvements as required
Monitor and measure learner satisfaction and engagement
Define, establish and measure achievement of milestone and project deadlines
Develop and execute communication plans to promote learning initiatives, raise awareness of available resources, and encourage employee engagement in learning activities
Encourage and implement a team culture and climate of continuous improvement
Document and report on training and certifications in the established LMS
Coordinate the schedule for Sterile University classes
Qualifications

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in with a concentration in Education, Business, Human Resources or Relevant Technical Degree in a related field
Minimum 8 years’ experience in training and talent development
5 years’ management experience
5 years’ experience in manufacturing organization; pharmaceutical manufacturing experience preferred
Experience in training, instructional design, and delivery
Skills and Abilities
Collaboration: Ability to work with training team, trainees, subject matter experts, and organization leaders
Communication: Strong verbal, written and presentation skills; clearly convey information to diverse audiences
Critical thinking: Adept at assessing needs to develop classes, materials and programs
Decision-making: Select, modify or create the best training programs to meet the needs of an organization
Instructional skills: Demonstrate the fundamentals of teaching and lesson planning
Leadership: Engage and motivate team
