What Your Job Will Be Like:
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team and support Quality Programs in Center 7500.
On any given day, you may be called on to:
Develop and coordinate elements of the QMS and QAP
Ensure compliance to the Quality Management System (ISO and NAP 401.1
Support internal/external audits
Perform effectiveness reviews
Assist with Corrective Actions
Perform assessments
Support Groups with their quality programs
Update and release procedures on 1) Management Surveillance assessments 2) Risk Based assessments
Establish and deploy Center level plans, policies, procedures, and tools
Develop and deploy Center level metrics
Tracking and Trending analysis of Center level metrics
Support the Center Quality Council
Respond to data calls
Work with Quality SMEs at all levels
Help customers with policy questions
Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.
Salary Range:
$90,900 - $176,900
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require:
Bachelors degree plus (5) or more years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education or experience
Active US DOE Q Security clearance or equivalent DOD clearance
Experience with implementing ISO requirements
Experience conducting assessments
Qualifications We Desire:
Experience with planning and conducting audits/assessments
Experience with data/statistical analysis
Certified lead assessor
Certified Causal Analyst
Experience with NAP 401.1
Experience with developing metrics, leading and lagging indicators
Strong communication/presentation skills
Green Belt Certified
Experience with production activities
Experience with process improvements
Experience with developing procedures
Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to build and deliver presentations
About Our Team:

Posting Duration:

Security Clearance:
Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q security clearance to start, or equivalent active security clearance with another U.S. government agency (e.g., DOD). Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Applicants for employment need to be able to maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
