What Your Job Will Be Like:

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team and support Quality Programs in Center 7500.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

• Develop and coordinate elements of the QMS and QAP

• Ensure compliance to the Quality Management System (ISO and NAP 401.1

• Support internal/external audits

• Perform effectiveness reviews

• Assist with Corrective Actions

• Perform assessments

• Support Groups with their quality programs

• Update and release procedures on 1) Management Surveillance assessments 2) Risk Based assessments

• Establish and deploy Center level plans, policies, procedures, and tools

• Develop and deploy Center level metrics

• Tracking and Trending analysis of Center level metrics

• Support the Center Quality Council

• Respond to data calls

• Work with Quality SMEs at all levels

• Help customers with policy questions

Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.

Salary Range:

$90,900 - $176,900

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

Qualifications We Require:

• Bachelors degree plus (5) or more years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education or experience

• Active US DOE Q Security clearance or equivalent DOD clearance

• Experience with implementing ISO requirements

• Experience conducting assessments

Qualifications We Desire:

• Experience with planning and conducting audits/assessments

• Experience with data/statistical analysis

• Certified lead assessor

• Certified Causal Analyst

• Experience with NAP 401.1

• Experience with developing metrics, leading and lagging indicators

• Strong communication/presentation skills

• Green Belt Certified

• Experience with production activities

• Experience with process improvements

• Experience with developing procedures

• Experience with Excel and PowerPoint

• Ability to build and deliver presentations

About Our Team:

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q security clearance to start, or equivalent active security clearance with another U.S. government agency (e.g., DOD).
