Job Title: Cloud Data Engineer

Job Location: Alexandria, VA. (Hybrid)

Job Description:

Syneren is seeking a skilled and visionary Data analyst to lead our cloud strategy and design robust solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem to help modernized legacy application to the newest technology and approach available in the Azure Cloud. As an Architect, you will play a critical role in shaping our cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide technical decisions, and drive innovation. Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications using Microsoft Azure services.

· Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineers to define technical requirements and deliver high-quality software.

· Implement best practices for application development, including security, scalability, and performance optimization.

· Supervise that developers write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in languages such as C#, Java, or Python.

· Develop and maintain APIs, microservices, and serverless components.

· Ensure seamless modernization between on-premises systems to cloud-based applications.

· Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource utilization.

· Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers.

· Stay up-to-date with Azure services, industry trends, and emerging technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

· Proficiency in Microsoft Azure services, including Azure App Service, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL Database.

· Proficiency with architecture and data modeling for applications, data flows and securing data at rest and in-transit.

· Proficiency designing and implementing cloud-native applications.

· Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or ARM templates.

· Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless computing.

· Knowledge about cross-domain cloud connection/traffic

· Familiarity with Azure Dev/Ops, Azure AI, Azure ML and Azure AI Search

Required:

• Must be U.S. Citizen with Secret level clearance (Please apply to this position only if you meet this criteria)

• Must have 5 or more years of support development, enhancement and maintenance of multiple datasets.

• Must have 5 or more years of programming language experience of data science technologies.

• Must have 5 or more years with database/cloud skills and data visualization skills.

  · Secret Clearance

  · CompTIA Security+ or SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner). Other security-related certs that are accepted (in addition to the above two certs) as well for the DoD IAT Level 2 include the following as well: CCNA Security; CySA+; GICSP; GSEC, CND)

  Nice if you Have:

  · Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

  · Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate

  · Experience with non-SQL databases such as Cosmos DB

  Education:

  · BA degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
