Utz Brands Fryer Operator- 2nd Shift in Algona, Washington
Tim's Cascade Snacks, a subsidiary of Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team, and is currently recruiting for a Fryer Operator to work from our manufacturing facility located in Algona, WA on 2nd Shift. As a Fryer Operator, this candidate will be responsible for operation of seven kettles and control the output according to production schedule. Perform required daily and weekly shutdown sanitation. This position works Monday- Friday 02:15pm-10:45pm. Key Responsibilities Prepares fryer and associated components for start-up. Monitors equipment performance and product continuously throughout production. Maintains proper levels of output and quality, reporting all unusual occurrences in product rejections to the Supervisor. Carries out all duties necessary for daily equipment shut down and cleaning. Maintains all required operation records and log sheets, making sure that entries are accurate, complete and legible. Carries out all weekly sanitation procedures on fryer and related equipment. Changes and sets blades. Works as peeler/fryer operator for breaks and when cross training other operators. Responsible to follow all safety rules and work safely at all times. Must adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices. Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position. Pay Range: $21.56/ per hour with shift differential of $1.00 for 3rd shift. Requirement Basic math, reading, and writing skills. Knowledge of product, frying operations, and sanitation procedures. Standing required 100% of the time. Moderate lifting (up to 80 lbs). Must be able to pay constant attention to machine and product. Required to wear non-slip shoes and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment where required. During the first year of service, hired applicants will earn Paid Time Off in the form of Vacation and Flex PTO at the accrual rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, earning a maximum of 40 hours of Vacation and 40 hours of Flex PTO, for a combined maximum total of 80 hours.
