We are looking for a dedicated Internal Auditor in the banking sector, based in Allen, Texas, United States. This role involves conducting comprehensive investigations into suspected fraudulent activities within the credit union and ensuring compliance with all laws, regulations, and policies related to fraud and financial crimes.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough investigations into suspected fraudulent activities within the credit union

• Evaluate potential fraud indicators and the impact of current fraud trends, making recommendations for appropriate mitigation

• Utilize various investigative tools and techniques to gather and analyze data related to potential fraud cases

• Interview suspects and witnesses as part of the investigation process

• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on investigative findings for senior management

• Collaborate with other departments to enhance internal controls that prevent fraud

• Develop and implement internal fraud detection tools and methodologies

• Document all investigative activities and methodologies used in the investigation to support the validity of findings

• Report findings to local, state, and federal law enforcement and regulatory agencies as required

• Work closely with legal counsel to support and conduct any prosecutorial efforts

• Provide expert advice on fraud risks and trends to help shape the credit union’s policies and procedures

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all investigations and outcomes

• Use fraud investigation software and tools proficiently

• Apply strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in conducting investigations.

Requirements

• Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in the role of an Internal Auditor within the Banking industry.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a necessity for this role.

• Experience in developing and implementing an Audit Program is required.

• The ability to conduct comprehensive Data Analysis is essential.

• Possession of CAMS Certification is desirable.

• Candidate should be a GIAC Certified Incident Handler.

• Proven experience in Fraud Investigation is crucial.

• Knowledge and experience in Fraud Analytics are required.

• Ability to Detect Fraud and implement Anti-Fraud measures is essential.

• Understanding of Financial Services within the Banking Industry is a must.

• Ability to work in a team, as well as independently, and to meet deadlines.

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• Professional certification such CFE, CFI, CAMS, CGCI, GIAC or CFCE highly preferred.

• Must adhere to all company policies and regulatory guidelines.
