Actalent Quality Control Associate in Allendale, New Jersey

Job Title: Associate

Job Description

You will be joining our dynamic Analytical Team, providing crucial support to our clinical and commercial production efforts. Your responsibilities will include performing testing and analysis via flow cytometry and endotoxin testing, cell culture and cell counting for quality control, and providing input to improve workflow and laboratory activity. You will also assist in equipment and method qualification/validation activities, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, and provide training to new employees. A significant part of your role will be the accurate execution of all company and/or client test methods and procedures to ensure the safety and efficacy of different cell populations. You will be expected to respond to equipment alarms, assist with process check points, stability and release analytical testing, and provide input in troubleshooting malfunctioning equipment. This role also involves maintaining an organized lab environment, preparing reagents and media, and uploading data in real time onto shared drives or client Share Point sites.

Hard Skills

  • Bachelors or masters degree in related scientific field

  • 1-2 years experience performing flow cytometry assays, cell culture, endotoxin testing

  • Nuclear testing

  • Experience with test methodology within a quality control setting

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Allendale, New Jersey.

Work Environment

You will be part of our Analytical Team reporting to one of our Quality Control Managers. You will work alongside our Scientists and Associate III to move methods forward in an aseptic quality environment. The shift is 1st Tues-Sat OR SUN-Thurs and needs flexibility as it will be an AFTERNOON Shift. Please note, due to the nature of cell and gene therapy, there may be delays in blood processing.
