Job Title: Industrial Electrician | $32+/hr | must be open to shift | Alliance, OH

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician and Maintenance Technician for our facility in Alliance, OH. This position requires working afternoon or night shifts with potential overtime. The role involves industrial electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor mechanical work. Pay is dependent on experience, ranging from $32-$34 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Perform industrial electrical maintenance and troubleshooting for systems ranging from 12v to 480v and 3 phase.

• Troubleshoot electrical issues in the plant, including circuits, motors, lighting, control boxes/panels, and machine controls.

• Conduct minor mechanical work on conveyors, gears, and bearings.

• Assist in repairing facility equipment such as conveyors, robotic arms, rollers, furnaces, and mobile equipment.

• Participate in special installations and projects.

• Understand and interpret drawings and schematics.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 4 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician/Maintenance Technician.

• Experience with 480v and 3 phase electrical systems.

• Proficiency in machine repair and troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with circuits, OHMs law, motors, panels, sensors, switches, and photo eyes.

• Ability to read and interpret schematics.

• High School diploma or GED required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Journeyman Card holders receive top pay without needing to take the Ramsey test.

• Trade School Certificate for Journeyman Course, Associate's Degree, or equivalent experience preferred.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.

• Willingness to offer minimal training to individuals working towards a Journeyman's card.

Work Environment

This role is set in a unionized, heavy industrial environment that can be hot, particularly around furnaces, and loud in certain areas. The facility is generally laid back and not very physically demanding. Employees are frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The position requires standing, walking, using hands, reaching, climbing, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities are also required. Shifts include 11PM-7AM (2nd shift with a .28 cent differential), 7AM-3PM (1st shift), and 3PM-11PM (3rd shift with a .20 cent differential).

This is a Permanent position based out of Alliance, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56000.00 - $73000.00/yr.
