DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Analytical Research Chemist - Gel Permeation Chromatography

As an Analytical Research Chemist, you'll be working as part of a dynamic, cross functional team providing compositional insight for new product development.

Your success in this role will depend on being able to lead project workstreams where compositional analysis is needed, develop robust Chromatography methods for R&D projects, perform molecular weight characterization/testing utilizing GPC and FFF with data interpretation for R&D and production groups. IN this role you will manage a dynamic workload using communication, organization, and prioritization skills to manage capability and capacity.

You will work onsite at our Allison Park, PA facility and report to the Compositional Analysis Team Lead.

Responsibilities:  * Develop robust GPC and FFF methods for new products in a timely manner.  * Collaborate as a researcher on the development and launch of new products.  * Work with business and technical collaborators to understand priorities, solve problems and communicate findings.  * Suggest and implement process improvements for laboratory operations across several work streams  * Consult on Global projects that relate to analytical Chromatography analysis.  * Perform GPC and FFF including sample analysis and/or data interpretation.  * Maintain schedule of projects and timelines.  * Deliver high quality results, conclusions, and recommendations.  * Maintain a safe working environment and ensure the lab follows safety protocols.

Qualifications:  * Ph.D. in Chemistry, materials science, physics, engineering, or related subject area (Analytical Chemistry preferred) OR BS with industrial experience with 10+ years of experience OR MS with industrial experience with 5+ years of experience required  * In-depth understanding of Chromatography techniques preferred  * Previous experience operating liquid chromatography techniques, ideally GPC  * Understanding of field flow fractionation is preferred
