NJ Employer Agricultural Equipment Operator in Altamont, New York
Anticipated period of employment: 08/18/2024 to 11/08/2024
All applicants must have 3 months experience hand harvesting a perishable crop. Applicants must be able to furnish affirmative job references from recent employers.
Use manual and powered equipment to harvest , and pack fruit ;cherries, peaches, apples, pears, grapes, raspberries, strawberries, blackberries; and vegetable crops; corn, pumpkins, gourds, Winter and summer squash, melons, vine crops, cucumbers, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, peppers, tomatoes, eggplant, asparagus, rhubarb . Maintain fences, equipment, and irrigation. Equipment operated: Farm tractor, forklift, mowers, rototiller, trucks, pruning shears. Workers will comply with procedures for power equipment safety as instructed and follow other instructions of supervisor. Drivers license would be class D and is preferred. Workers will follow rules that assure site safety as instructed. Tools paid for by employer. See ETA 790/790A for a complete job description.
Only workers meeting all qualifications on the job order should be referred by the Job Service Office.
