Schedule: Full-Time Days, M-F Normal Hours 8am-5pm, Core Hours 10am-4pm

The role you’ll contribute:

The Test Architect’s primary function is to design solutions to testing problems the business faces and manage all facets of testing: functional and non-functional (load, stress, failure, static code analysis). This position has a strategic leadership role in test design, execution and providing key project deliverables. The person is this role has strong technical knowledge of design test architecture (test automation frameworks, code libraries, etc.) across the platforms that allows the Test Architect to design and develop the test automation framework, harness, and code libraries to enable the team to both use and enhance across successive projects. This position takes responsibility for the infrastructure including environments and software, liaising with teams such as DevOps and Support in areas such as Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).

The person in this role defines strategic direction for testing by providing guidance, feedback, and suggestions to improve quality testing practices across an entire engineering team. The Test Architect monitors the effectiveness of the testing function and bring about improvements through insights gained via analysis at all stages of the SDLC. This position will mentor and train the team on methodologies, tools, and techniques.

· Develop Defines and leads the strategic direction in test design, execution and providing key project deliverables by collaborating across multiple product lines to align test implementation strategies

· Design solutions to testing problems to manage all facets of testing: functional, non-functional and automation (load, stress, failure, static code analysis).

· Takes responsibility for the infrastructure including environments and software, liaising with teams such as DevOps and Support in areas such as CI/CD.

· Collaborates with project teams to strategize and align long term solutions for automation including roadmaps, tools, framework & approach

· Analyze and define automation processes to fill the gaps between current processes and industry standard best practices

· Drive the evaluation and adoption of test automation frameworks, tools, and technologies across the organization

· Monitors and provides test review feedback to foster testing best practices within the team

· Assess features to identify testing technical challenges, priorities, and risks. Reviews estimates

· Promote new technologies and testing practices within the team

· Support DevOps in establishing of automation frameworks for continuous integration and continuous deployment

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

• Seven to nine years’ experience working with Quality Assurance (QA) tools, processes, and methodology

• Seven to nine years’ experience in software testing and documentation, or equivalent

• At least five years’ experience in gathering and interpreting technical aspects of change and applying data to test plan and user documentation

• 3-5 years’ experience in Automated Testing and Tools

• Experience using test automation tools (ZapTest, Eggplant, Selenium)

• Experience using continuous integration tools (Jenkins)

• Experience using source code management tools (GIT)

• Experience using test management tools (SpiraTeam, ServiceNow)

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

• ISTQB Advanced Level Certification or above
