Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the financial services industry, based in AMHERST, New York. We are seeking an AVP of Operations who will manage the day-to-day operations of the outsource accounting group, standardize procedures, and oversee the accounting supervisors.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operations of the outsource accounting group, ensuring efficiency and adherence to deadlines

• Standardize procedures within the department to maintain consistency

• Supervise accounting supervisors, providing guidance and support as necessary

• Assist with billing and collections, ensuring timely payments and resolving any issues

• Provide mentorship and coaching to team members, fostering a supportive and growth-oriented environment

• Research and implement best practices within the accounting field to improve operations

• Develop and implement training plans for the team to ensure continuous professional development

• Ensure the quality of all procedures and output, maintaining high standards at all times

• Develop relationships with other focus areas within the firm to foster collaboration and cohesion

• Work with the team to develop and recruit talent, supporting the growth of the group

• Contribute to the development of the annual goals and business plan for the practice. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the Financial Services industry

• Proven skills in managing Accounting Functions within a large organization

• Demonstrated ability to manage and ensure Compliance within financial regulations and standards

• Experience in managing Credit operations, including credit risk assessment and mitigation

• Ability to lead large teams and drive operational efficiency

• Strong financial and business acumen

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proven skills in strategic planning and execution

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field required, advanced degree preferred

• Proficiency in financial software and systems

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other departments and stakeholders

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions based on analysis

• High ethical standards and professionalism.
