Philips Finance Business Partner - HR in Amsterdam, Netherlands

As Finance Business Partner for People Function you are responsible for supporting the Chief People Officer and People LT with strategic direction setting by means of sound financial analysis (cost modelling, risk assessment, scenario analysis) of strategic initiatives, (transformation) programs and projects.

Your role

  • Pro-actively and efficiently driving the planning and forecasting processes for the People Function (Annual Operating Plan, Forecasts and Latest Views), which includes alignment of domains and markets regarding functional targets.

  • Providing an integral view on People Function spend globally and managing it in line with Annual Operating Plan.

  • Ensuring accountability for budgets and related performance in the People LT and the Leadership Team of Philips University and Integrated People & Services

  • Realization of productivity targets and realization and execution of plans according to budget available, problem solving and aligning on corrective actions in case of deviations.

  • Reviewing investment proposals and create and approve @investors.

  • Optimizing visibility and reporting of output of main People Function initiatives and processes through Lean methodology.

  • Working together with FP&A to build the standardize reporting and simplify where possible.

  • Monitoring and controlling functional processes and their execution for ICS/SOX compliance.

  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships across the organization to understand the business and the needs of partners and internal customers.

You are part of

Enabling Functions business partnering team. The Enabling Functions business partnering team focuses on performance management, control, and analysis of the Enabling Functions results as well as the allocation of cost towards businesses and markets to enable a.o. integral performance management of businesses, markets and customers, fair value calculations of company assts and liabilities and to ensure tax &transfer pricing accuracy. The team works closely together with the FP&A Enabling Functions team located in India.

You're the right fit if:

  • Master’s degree in accounting/Finance/Economics.

  • You have 10-15 years of work experience in progressive roles in Finance, FP&A, Controlling.

  • Proven depth of end-to end business knowledge, financial analytics, and strategic insight.

  • Strong stakeholder management, with an ability to recognize organizational and business differences and work to effect alignments.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, feeling comfortable while interacting with executive-level management, and being able to present complex analysis with clarity.

  • A strong team player, able to closely connect with People Function community and members of the EF team, FP&A, Market EF controllers and Business Hofs.

  • A change agent, who initiates, coaches, and directs Finance staff teams and stakeholders to or through change – you are adept at implementations of change through effective communication and leadership techniques.

  • Ability to work independently, set priorities and cope with tight deadlines.

  • Creative problem-solving skills and thinking strategically, as well as tactically.
