Primary Job Description:
Two discrete positions will be filled, complementing one another, respectively acting as senior advisor or lead to Blue and Red wargame teams (Blue/Red roles may be interchanged between discreet wargame events):
Blue advisor provides senior perspective and advice to the uniformed Blue Lead and his/her team through a wargame cycle or game event
Red lead provides direct senior leadership and guidance for the Red team through a wargame
Both advisors mentor senior-level participants and facilitate senior-level groups, panels, and discussions
Both advisors fill Senior wargame roles as required (e.g., National Security Council, Combatant Command Commander, etc.)
Both advise post - game analysis to identify operational risks and provide senior - level gap analysis
Additional Job Description:
Support HQ USAF wargames before, during, and after wargame execution.
Senior advisor to Blue command level may also serve in HHQ roles (e.g. CCMD, NSC)
Senior advisor/Lead for Red team provides leadership, expertise, experience and gravitas in generating direct Red Team guidance and peer-to-peer engagement at the Senior Executive or General/Flag Officer level
Provides technical and analytical expertise and support to investigate, analyze, and assess existing and emerging AF roles, missions, and capabilities, and those of sister-Services and Combatant Commands, for wargame design, objective analysis/assessment, manning, execution, and adjudication of gameplay; and to evaluate options for future AF force design and posture.
Shall aid Government personnel in engaging and integrating analytical organizations both internal and external to AF Futures and HQ USAF in wargames to develop and execute an objectives analysis plan.
Required Skills/Education/Years of Experience:
Shall possess a graduate degree with a minimum of 25 years of experience in defense intelligence, military operations, strategy development, strategic planning, and/or strategic assessments.
Operational and strategic planning leadership experience as a General Officer, Flag Officer, member of the Senior Executive Service, or equivalent is required.

Security Clearance Required: TOP SECRET /SCI (TS/SCI) eligible security clearance is mandatory.
Position Type: Part Time (40 hours per 2-week pay period)
Salary Range:
Work Location: The primary duty location is Joint Base Andrews, MD. Occasional work presence will be required at AF Futures spaces at the Pentagon, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, or elsewhere in the NCR, as mission requirements dictate.
