What You'll Do

  • Manage the faculty awards and recognition process from pipeline development to submission

  • Lead staff team supporting faculty award submissions, including collaboration and distribution of nomination assignments

  • Provide insight and recommendations to the department awards committee on short and long-term awards planning based on analysis and tracking of awards across the discipline

  • Develop a comprehensive strategy to position UM ChE faculty for awards

  • Support award application and nomination processes

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5+ years of experience in academic administration, awards management, or a related field

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to convey intricate information clearly and succinctly

  • Demonstrated experience and excellence in proofreading and editing

  • Strong organizational skills enabling the management of multiple award nominations and deadlines simultaneously

  • Proven track record of positive relationship building with stakeholders at all levels

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and support others through empowerment, collaboration, mutual respect, and mentoring

  • Demonstrated commitment to supporting an organizational culture that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive

  • Advanced skills in MS Office suite, Google suite, and other relevant software

Additional Information

A higher salary may be considered for an extraordinarily qualified candidate.
