Responsibilities*
Brain Niche work, Metabolism and ALK Lung Cancer Research
Cell culture - experience in maintaining, propagating, and experimenting with mammalian cell lines under aseptic conditions. Skilled in both adherent and suspension culture techniques.
Sterile technique - Rigorous adherence to sterile techniques to prevent contamination in microbiological and cellular experiments. Familiar with laminar flow hoods, autoclaves, and proper sanitation protocols.
PCR - Proficient in designing, optimizing, and executing PCR / qPCR experiments and downstream analysis.
Western blot - Skilled in protein extraction, quantification, and analysis using western blotting. Capable of troubleshooting issues related to protein transfer and detection.
Animal experience - Experience in handling, caring for, and using mice in research settings. Familiar with ethical guidelines and protocols for animal welfare.
Required Qualifications*
Research Lab Specialist Intermediate
- Bachelors degree required and 4-5 years experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted, including relevant undergraduate and graduate student experience
Research Lab Specialist Associate
- Bachelor's degree and 1-3 year experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted, including relevant undergraduate and graduate student experience.
Desired Qualifications*
Masters Degree or Doctoral Degree desired but not required
Tissue culture PCR Westerns and animal experience preferred.

This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
Background Screening
