Bard College seeks a full-time Reentry Advisor for theBard Prison Initiative (BPI) (https://bpi.bard.edu/our-work/the-college/?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAi6uvBhADEiwAWiyRdpfTVS_W5dJaflpxrh0oQDMc9U7getADTrExHZo7Nu5sSpsZeOqBmhoCC64QAvD_BwE) . This is a full-time, exempt, 12-month-per-year position based at Bard’s campus in Annandale-on-Hudson, NY.

The Advisor will deliver in-person reentry advising support to BPI students across its 7 in-prison campuses. The Advisor will fulfill a robust, weekly campus visit schedule, providing advising to individual students and groups of students, and coordinate with Site Directors and other BPI staff about students’ reentry concerns. Over time, the Advisor will take a larger or lead role in delivering a 6-session workshop in June to BPI students nearing release from custody. The Advisor must be able to work within the NY State prison and parole systems and follow its rules and regulations.
