We are seeking aSoftware Engineer IIIwho will work, within the Compute Team, with a massively parallel enterprise platform, built with Java on Free and Open-Source Software products including Kubernetes, Hadoop and Accumulo, to enable execution of data-intensive analytics on a managed infrastructure.
Position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance. US citizenship is required.
Position Required Skills:
- Minimally, the candidate should be skilled in Java, database technologies (MySQL Postgres, etc.) and have some experience with Map Reduce programming model and technologies (such as Hadoop, Hive, Pig, etc)
- Possess additional knowledge of Linux OS development, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, and Ansible
Position Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with microservices software development technique and container-orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree. Twenty (20) years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
