JOB REQUIREMENTS: R10031774 Hardgoods Product Manager (Open) Location:Appleton, WI (Regional Office) - ManagementDes Moines, IA - Retail shop, Roseville, MN - Filling industrial How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? The Hardgoods Product Manager provides hands-on support to the field sales team to analyze existing hardgoods business for margin enhancement opportunities, opex reduction opportunities as well as targeting new business growth. Jointly develops and executes area business strategies and annual plans in order to meet/exceed targeted results in the areas. Works jointly with AVPs/DMs to develop an annual Strategic Plan to guide the business towards meeting these critical business goals as it relates to HG growth and Supply Chain Mgmt. Works hands on in conjunction with the field teams developing consistent focus on Airgas Core Strategy and Strategic Products plans. Provides regular review of the verticals operations to the Regional Vice President - Sales to include: Safety, analysis of hardgood sales, margin as well as variances to plan performance. Evaluates current business strengths and weaknesses and develops strategic initiatives that lead to improvements and business results, monitor/track/provide progress reporting. Examples include driving sales for targeted products and/or markets; safety sales specialist targeted focus Analyzes Tier 3, and Radnor conversion opportunities and works directly in the field with the AVP/DM/AM to drive margin expansion and execution; Manages the communication link for new product roll-outs, identifying areas of margin enhancement potential and works closely with the appropriate AMs to present to customers. Works with AVPs/District Managers and ABOC\'s to ensure District Strategic Plans are implemented to drive Sales growth and Airgas Core Strategy in the Branches while influencing the sale of preferred supplier products, promoting Radnor brand, and reinforcing compliance in vendor managed programs. Empower and educate local Managers to lead their locations creatively yet consistently to drive regional brand conversion strategy. Delivers overall top-line performance in line with established field sales goals and branch business plans actively developing new sales efforts in the region by identifying ongoing new business opportunities; leveraging all regional, national, and vendor resources; maintaining high-level relationships with key suppliers while creating value to the field, develop regional promotional programs to drive brand strategy, actively and aggressively negotiate regional hardgood pricing, as needed.
