We are seeking a skilled and motivated Server Engineer to join our team in the Appleton/Oshkosh, WI area. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our server environment, ensuring seamless operation of our infrastructure, and supporting long-term cloud migration goals. You’ll work closely with a talented team in a dynamic, enterprise-scale environment, supporting 5,000 end users and a technical ecosystem spread across two data centers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Firewall Administration: Manage updates, troubleshoot issues, handle escalations, and support special requests such as web services and remote security platforms.

• Server Maintenance: Provide administration and support for a hybrid environment, including on-premises and cloud-based solutions.

• Ticketing Systems: Address escalations, track and resolve tickets, and contribute to detailed documentation of tickets and processes.

• Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, updates, and procedures.

• Cloud Migration: Collaborate with the team to work towards the long-term goal of cloud integration.

You’ll work with:

• VMware, Oracle, SQL Server

• Linux and Oracle Linux

• Windows, SharePoint, M365

Environment Size:

• 5,000 end users

• 500-600 servers (majority on-prem)

• Hybrid environment with two data centers and a developing cloud strategy

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of Server Engineering experience in a mid-to-large organizational environment.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Servers and Active Directory (please share details about the size of the environment you’ve supported).

• Proficiency in firewall troubleshooting, administration, and configuration.

• Familiarity with ticketing systems and documentation practices.

• Knowledge of virtualization tools such as VMware.

• Exposure to cloud environments is a plus, with openness to learning.

  Requirements • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Systems Engineer role or similar position

• Proficient in Active Directory, AWS Technologies, and Server Technologies

• Demonstrated ability to use Office 365 and Enterprise 365

• Familiarity with SCCM, Azure AD Connect, and Azure Active Directory

• Experience with Linux and other open-source platforms

• Proven track record in Server Administration

• Knowledge of the plastics manufacturing industry is advantageous

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team
