Bethel Farms is looking for an IT System Administrator to join our Bethel and Harmony teams. This position will be based out of Arcadia, Florida. The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for all aspects of systems infrastructure support and enhancement, including implementation, administration, and maintenance of systems hardware and software. The incumbent will assist with the migration and integration of new technology into the existing infrastructure required to support the enterprise. The IT Systems Administrator will also provide technical support to users by troubleshooting and resolving issues with systems hardware or software.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for implementing, administering, and maintaining system-wide integration projects for the organization.

• Research, recommend, and implement security protocols and innovative approaches to system administration tasks and programs.

• Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.

• Develops, maintains, and tests disaster recovery plans.

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and provide necessary updates and enhancements for company website.

• Identifies, investigates, and resolves user problems with computer software and hardware.

• Guides users through diagnostic and troubleshooting processes, which may include use of diagnostic tools and software and/or following verbal instructions.

• Fields support calls, chat, email, and/or other communication from users with inquiries regarding software programming, connectivity, printing, and similar concerns.

• Collaborates with programmers to explain errors and/or recommend modifications in programs.

• Develops strong relationships with service providers and arranges service with software or hardware vendors to repair or replace defective products.

• Maintains network hardware and software, including servers, peripherals, network nodes, terminals, and wiring.

• Coordinates with other departments to understand and meet their requirements.

• Checks systems to optimize performance and to initiate recovery action after system failures.

• Establishes and controls systems access and security.

• Monitors and maintains network stability, collects, and analyzes network and memory utilization, and installs and tests software upgrades.

• Manages computer operation scheduling, backup, storage and retrieval functions.

• Coordinates third-party maintenance for network hardware, software and telecommunications services.

• Prepares and maintains documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts.

• Trains users in the operations of office productivity applications.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in computer science or related discipline is preferred, 5+ years’ experience; or the combination of education and experience that enables performance of all aspects of the position.

• Microsoft SharePoint experience, preferred.

• Former ERP implementation and maintenance experience, preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE POSITION

This position requires sitting down for extended periods, ability to read, hear, speak, concentrate, learn, think, and communicate verbally and in writing. Also, standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting, and twisting, as required in an office environment. Noise levels may vary, from office equipment to production line and warehouse levels.
