About the role: Provides support to the IC Mods Manufacturing organization to facilitate efficient operations within the production area, to optimize existing processes, and to ensure that production goals are met. Monitors performance of equipment, machines, and tools and corrects equipment problems or process parameters that produce non-conforming products, low yields, or product quality issues. Interfaces with Quality and Research & Development organizations to integrate new products or processes into the existing manufacturing area. Your responsibilities will include: In all actions, demonstratea primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures Initiateand completetechnical activities leading to new or improved products or processfor current programs, next generation programs, and to meet strategic goals and objectives of the company; preparereports, publish, and makepresentations to communicate findings Analyzeand solveproblems from basic engineering principles, theories, and concepts through to a wide range of complex and advanced problems which require novel and new innovative approaches or a major breakthrough in technology Understandengineering principles, theories, concepts, practices, and techniques; developknowledge in a field to become a recognized leader or authority in an area of specialization and applythis knowledge in leadership roles in the company Incorporatebusiness policies and procedures into task completion; understandthe business needs of the company and has knowledge of the customer needs of our business Cultivateinternal and external network of resources to complete tasks; serveas a resource in the selection, orientation, and training of new engineers and employees; may lead a project team, determining goals and objectives for the projects Interactcross-functionally and with internal and external customers Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science 2+ years of relevant, post-collegiate work experience in an engineering-related field Proven understanding of Visual Basic and LabVIEWprogramming to test electrical design requirements in a highly regulatedindustry Proven understanding of manufacturing problem solving and data analysis (i.e. Minitab, DMAIC, etc.) Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Software, or Mechanical Engineering, or bachelor's degree in Computer Science Experience in the medical device or semiconductor industry Experience with validation and qualification of software and equipment Experience in converting Visual Basic code to equivalent LabVIEW code or vice versa Proven ability to drive process improvement initiatives Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to develop and present ideas via visual communication methods Requisition ID:584510 Among other requirements, Boston Scientific maintains specific prohibited substancetesting requirements for safety-sensitive positions.
