UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT ARLINGTON Day Family Research Lab Coordinator in Arlington, Texas
Provides leadership for establishing and maintaining an elevated service experience for researchers and campus partners in the Day Family Research Lab (DFRL) at UTA Libraries. Manages the lab space, provides exceptional service at the desk, assists with the management of student employees and graduate research assistants, and coordinates events in the lab or at other campus locations. Additionally, serves as an initial point of contact for collaboration and provides essential administrative support for DFRL staff and librarians..Staff the DFRL service point with a focus on connecting researchers to DFRL staff, internal library, or external campus partners to fulfill requests.Assist DFRL staff with managing student workers and graduate research assistants including hiring, training, scheduling, and project coordination.Plan DFRL events including securing location, catering, speakers, and other needs for events. Examples of events are DFRL staff-taught classes and workshops, large-scale events such as the UTA Datathon, events by campus partners hosted in the DFRL, speaker events, and other events as needed.In collaboration with Library Systems and Technology, and Marketing and Communications departments, update and manage digital signage as well as physical display areas within the lab. Liaise with the MandC department to highlight DFRL events and success stories.Take ownership of email communication to UTA researchers regarding Libraries and DFRL events, programs, and initiatives.Perform other duties as assigned..Bachelorand#x2019;s Degree from an accredited university.Experience providing excellent customer service.Experience providing professional administrative support.Proficiency with desktop computing and Office 365 suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)..UTA Libraries encourages applications from all who meet the required qualifications but may not meet every preferred qualification.Supervisory experience in a customer service setting, preferably higher education or an academic library setting.Experience managing student employees.Experience in event planning and coordination.
