About the Role
ThePersonnelSecurity SpecialistIII entranceon duty(EOD) supportto makepre - appointmentandinterimclearance recommendationsin accordance with the relevant Executive Orders( eo s), U.S. CodeofFederal Regulations( CFR), allSecurityExecutiveAgentDirectives ( sead s), IntelligenceCommunityDirective (ICD) 704and thepolicies , ordersand guidelines withtheunderstanding finalEOD recommendationsaremadebyappropriateFederal employees.
Responsibilities:
Expertknowledgeorawareness andadherence togovernment policiesor regulations
Governing security suitability and eligibility, such as Federal Investigative Standards (FIS), ExecutiveOrders (E.O.) 12968, 13526 ,and 10450, Code of Federal Regulations ( CFRs) ,
Security Executive Agent Directives (SEADs), Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 704 or other guidelines to make the appropriate EOD recommendation
Conduct security checks
review personnel security information using various databases
I nitiate background investigations via the electronic questionnaires for investigations processing( e-QIP), or eAPP system, andobtainasecurity questionnairefromapplicants .
Ensure the completeness of the security questionnaires and send the completed questionnaire toDefense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), or the designated investigative serviceprovider( ISP).
Providetechnicalassistance toapplicants theirsecurity questionnaire in the e-QIP or eAPP system .
Contributestoinitiatives toimprove functionaland / or automated processeswithin thedivision
Prepares written documentation supporting the personnel security mission including standard operating procedures, reports, training and instructional materials, and briefings.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Shall possess a high school diploma
Must have three (3) years of personnel security administration
P roven experience rendering adjudicative or entrance on duty (EOD) decisions or recommendations
E xcellent computer skills using Microsoft Office, etc.
Excellent written and oral communication, risk- management and problem-solving skills
