GCyber Automation and Orchestration Engineer in Arlington, Virginia
GCyber is hiring an Automation & Orchestration Engineer to support the DISA Compartmented Enterprises Office in their efforts to transform the existing Secure Web Services environment, which provides secure information sharing to the community, into a more mature service offering to meet the DoD and intelligence community's needs.
The position is full time onsite in Arlington, VA. Given the unique mission requirements and classified nature of the work, there is no opportunity for hybrid or remote work assignments.
As an Automation & Orchestration Engineer, you will:
Provide domain expertise to support automation and orchestration initiatives related to secure implementation and sustainment of CESO services
Deploy automation and orchestration solutions to facilitate the migration of customer data and metadata onto the CESO architecture and applications
Develop solutions to automate the provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of a range of infrastructure components
Support Ansible playbook design, role development, and testing, in non-production environments, as well as migration to production networks
Create and maintain Ansible playbooks to automate installation and deployment of cloud resources; maintain source code in GIT repository
Implement automations that will replace time consuming, error-prone, manual repetitive configuration and provisioning activities using AWS deployment services and infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions such as Ansible, and/or custom scripts
Leverage automation and orchestration to manage identities, governance, storage, compute, and virtual networks, ensuring efficient and consistent configuration and management.
Identify and implement automated testing capabilities including functional, integration, security, and load/stress testing procedures
Develop, document, and maintain work instruction materials for related Automation and Orchestration processes
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Active Top Secret level security clearance and be eligible to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI. May be required to obtain CI Poly in future.
BS and 8+ years of hands-on engineering and administration experience in virtualized environments, ideally with federal government; additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
IAT Level II Baseline Certification (e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)
Ability to obtain an Amazon Operations certification or Amazon Developer certification with 120 days
Ability to obtain an Ansible certification within 180 days
Experience creating Ansible playbooks (YAML) for automated provisioning and configuration of cloud resources including 2+ years of experience working with Ansible or Ansible Tower
Experience using Git for Ansible source control
Proficiency in scripting technologies (e.g., PowerShell)
Experience working in high op-temp, top secret environment
Prior DISA and DISA's support to mission partners experience preferred
