Bluehawk is actively seeking a Mid-Level Technical Editor to provides strategic all source analysis on all facets of regional militaries, security forces, and associated political apparatuses to include equipment for all conventional and unconventional forces.
Responsibilities
Reviews intelligence products for proper grammar, punctuation, and syntax, as well as for logic, clarity, and consistency.
Ensures that style and format conform to agency publication standards and that language presentation is consistent with prescribed style guides and specialized vocabulary of subject matter fields.
Amends draft tables, tone boxes, and graphics to ensure the content supports and is consistent with the accompanying text. Ensures proper classification markings in accordance with IC guidance.
Works with authors to revise products for narrative organization, and negotiates further revisions as needed.
Works under strict deadlines to accurately edit and publish intelligence products in a routine and timely manner.
Checks citations against original sources to verify correct usage.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience as a writer, editor, or intelligence analyst in an IC organization
Experience with producing all-source intelligence analysis and managing the production of analysis products
Ability to proofread, edit, and correct text for style and accuracy
Ability to apply IC analytic standards and analytic tradecraft standards as defined in Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) 203 Analytic Standards and ICD 206 Sourcing Requirements
Ability to prepare intelligence assessments and other written products with an emphasis on logical argumentation and analytic clarity
Ability to support shift work 0300 - 1100
Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Poly or willing to obtain a CI Poly.
