Global Fleet and Products (GFP) team’s mission is to provide the vehicles and services that enable Amazon to delight customers through our last mile operations within Amazon Logistics (AMZL). GFP manages a global fleet of last mile vehicles including internal combustion engine vehicles, regulated vehicles and electric vehicles. Amazon is looking for a Principal, Product Manager, to lead integration, testing, and scaling between preferred vehicle service products and automation technologies under development; i.e., to build a roadmap and operationalize technology improvements across our network of hundreds of delivery stations, thousands of Delivery Service Partners, and tens of thousands of vehicles. The maintenance and repair (M&R) team’s preferred vehicle service products include mobile maintenance, Fleet Service Centers, and utilizing 3P existing auto shops to service the AMZL fleet. Technology and automation opportunities include integrating automated vehicle inspection data that exists today with automated service scheduling; ingesting third party vendor data internally and partnering with the telemetry and predictive maintenance teams to begin servicing vehicles prior to vehicles going down for service; collating exterior vehicle inspection data with mechanical inspections to provide vehicle owners comprehensive service recommendations with available service capacity. The end goal is to maximize vehicle fleet health while leveraging automation tools that simply the service experience for Delivery Service Partners (DSPs) and operationalize throughout the network. This will allow DSPs to focus on what they do best – delivering to our customers.
Amazon's Global Fleet and Products team is seeking to hire a Principal Product Manager to join the team to define and deliver strategic product and tech roadmaps for the fleet maintenance and repair programs and products. In this role, this senior leader will focus on building and leading repair solutions at scale for our Last Mile Fleet. This leader is be expected to manage multiple new products, programs, and value added services, concurrently, directly and indirectly. The Principal Product Manager contributes significantly to the overall fleet strategy and to build and maintain 3P repair provider relationships through their products and programs that support the long-term strategy. The leader owns creating the strategic product roadmap, gain senior leadership alignments and approvals for the roadmap, lead development and delivery of these products and programs through internal and external partnerships. The individual will have a strong track-record of delivering successful new products, programs and/or Value Added Service offerings at significant scale ($200M or more in total spend), senior leadership involvement with external vendors, and thought leadership within procurement, transportation, fleet or automotive.
Key job responsibilities
• Define requirements for product/service/program offerings for the repair of all vehicles in Amazon's last mile fleet including Internal Combustion and Electric Vehicles, working backwards from key stakeholders (e.g. Delivery Service Partners).
• Develop strategic product vision and roadmap for execution with partner technical teams.
• Build products to expedite vehicle service and improve uptime.
• Engagement with senior leaders, both externally and internally
• Negotiate strategic partnerships for repairing vehicles.
• Deliver improved financial performance through vehicle uptime and service speed
• Lead strategy for individual projects to support all the goals of the business, not just financial goals
• Communicate expectations and requirements equally well with external and internal leadership teams, and capacity to write well-reasoned and data-driven proposals, performing your own data analysis as necessary
• Utilize exceptional problem-solving skills to work through difficult challenges
• Travel 25%
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
Bachelor's degree
Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
Experience with end to end product delivery
Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
Experience as a product manager or owner
Experience leading cross-functional or new launch projects to ensure success
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements focused on the customer
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in engineering, management, or technology
Experience in fleet management and/or fleet service
Ability to influence cross-functional teams across a network without direct authority

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $145,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $240,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
