IBM Benefits Design Leader - Global HRBD, NA Leaves, and Canada Pension in Armonk, New York

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Be a leader driving successful outcomes related to:

  • Financial review of benefits costs to support decision to integrate or not integrate acquired entities.

  • Leaves Design (short/long term disability, vacation, sick, etc) in the US, Canada and the Caribbean.

  • Pension Design in Canada and the Caribbean.

  • Financial analysis of acquired entities to include:

  • Proactive review of benefits provided globally to document which benefits are provided, total cost of providing, eligible headcount, and if benefit is HC or salary based.

  • Develop a template to facilitate the comparison of annual costs of integration on a benefit by benefit basis taking into account legal and labor relations considerations.

  • Benchmark benefits above a certain clip level (ex. 20% of per capita cost) to understand where IBM offerings stand relative to the market.

  • Leverage information above to work with HRBD, Compensation, LR, Legal and acquired entity's HR teams evaluate cost of integration for acquired entities not yet integrated.

  • Create and present collateral for review by HR, Finance and Business stakeholders based on analysis to help support decision to integrate or remain non-integrated.

  • Support renewal of insured leaves programs in North America.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the employee experience, particularly with respect to leaves, and implement enhancements when/where identified.

  • Work with local benefits teams, legal and HR to create employee communications when required to support program developments and look for ways to enhance current communications.

  • Monitor legislative landscape and provide proactive updates to stakeholders on impact of potential or finalized legislative changes on programs, both from a standpoint of compliance and identifying opportunities for program improvement.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Be energized by opportunities to look at things through viewpoint of 'what if this was a blank slate'

  • Strong analytical and presentation/story telling skills

  • Positive leadership with ability to engage and co-create effectively with other parts of the organization

  • Serve as an influencer with vision to prioritize and ability to communicate reasons for prioritization with key stakeholders

  • Communicate areas of concerns that need to be addressed to stakeholders across business and HR leadership

  • Ability to manage complex projects independently

  • Ability to manage outside vendors who support our offerings

  • Strong excel and PowerPoint skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience in HR

The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
