ManpowerGroup Maintenance Facilities Technician in Ashburn, Virginia

Maintenance Facilities Technician

Location: Onsite, Ashburn VA

Pay Rate: $30/hr. - $34/hr.

Contract: 6 Months

The Data Center Technical Operations Engineer, Facility, will be responsible for Data Center Engineering Operations within an Data Center. This includes risk management and mitigation, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management, and metric reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage on-site shift technicians, senior shift technicians, sub-contractors, and vendors, ensuring all work is performed according to established practices and procedures.

  • Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of critical facility operations and maintenance.

  • Coordinate projects with IT managers and other business leaders, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency.

  • Operate and manage both routine and emergency services on various critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, and building monitoring systems.

  • Assist in the design and build-out of new facilities as needed.

  • Participate in projects to increase current facility efficiency.

  • Manage asset and inventory.

  • Assist in recruiting efforts.

Deliver quality service and ensure all customer demands are met.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Technical (Military/Trade School) Degree and relevant experience.

  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience.

  • 0-2 years of management experience.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of Data Center Engineering Experience.

  • 0-2 years of Data Center Management Experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant discipline.

  • Fundamental knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical equipment design and operation.
