Ashburton District Council Learn to Swim Instructor – Fixed Term (Applications close 7 May 2024) in Ashburton, New Zealand

    What the job involves

Working in our purpose-built facility, you will be responsible for delivering quality learn to swim education in a friendly and safe learning environment. You will ensure a high level of service is provided to our wide range of customers from babies through to adults.

No previous experience is required, we’ll provide you with all the training you need. You will however need to be approachable, enthusiastic, outgoing, and must enjoy working with children.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for enthusiastic, outgoing individuals who are creative, motivating and have the ability to coach others to achieve results.

This is a fixed term, part time position ending at the end of September 2024 with four Learn to Swim shifts available. If these shifts don’t suit you there could be an opportunity for casual work.

Available shifts are:

  • Mondays 3:05pm to 5:35pm

  • Wednesdays 3:25pm to 5:35pm

  • Fridays 3:20pm to 5:35pm

  • Saturdays 9:05am to 12:20pm

In your application please specify which of the above shifts you are available for. There will be potential to pick up additional shifts covering leave or individual lessons. At the completion of the fixed term, ongoing casual work could be available.
