Job Summary and Qualifications

A Neurodiagnostic Specialist I perform advanced levels of neurodiagnostic monitoring (EEG, LTM- ICU and EMU, NCV, Carotids, IOM), according to facility policy and procedures. The technologist must be able to obtain quality, interpretable recordings and provide tech impressions for study types within their modality of expertise. Procedures include patient setup, electrode placement, equipment troubleshooting, and pattern recognition. Registry Eligibility as a CNIM or CLTM required to perform duties independently. Demonstrates competencies yearly, and rotates on call with the tech team.

What qualifications you will need:

• Required Education:Registry in one area of expertise: American Board of Registry of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (R. EEG T., R. EP T.) American Board of Electroneurodiagnostic Medicine (CNCT)

• Preferred Education:Registry Eligible as CLTM or CNIM. Graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs(CAAHEP) accredited Neurodiagnostic Program or Programs and Associates Degree in related healthcare field

• Required License:Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

• Required Experience:At least 2 years of employment in Neurodiagnostics

• Preferred Experience:3 or more years of employment in Neurodiagnostics
