Pipe Welder/Fitter
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Pipe Welder/Fitter to join our team. The role involves pipe welding or fitting on barges, requiring proficiency in welding techniques and the ability to read blueprints.
Responsibilities
Perform pipe welding or fitting tasks on barges
Pass a 6G pipe weld test
Read and interpret blueprints accurately
Work with various welding techniques including flux core and stick welding
Conduct metal fabrication and pipe fitting
Handle materials such as stainless steel and carbon steel
Essential Skills
Proficiency in flux core welding
Ability to perform stick welding
Experience in pipe fitting and metal fabrication
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in pipe welding or fitting
Ability to pass a 1-5F and 6G pipe weld test

Work Environment
The work environment is outdoors and can be very hot. Safety gear such as steel-toed ankle-high leather boots, long sleeves, and pants are required. Due to the nature of the job, contact lenses are not permitted because of smoke from welding. We offer two shifts: 1st shift from Monday to Friday, 6am to 3:30pm, and 2nd shift from Monday to Friday, 3:15pm to 12:45am.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ashland City, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00
